Horra Trading Mixed Use Development
A Vision to create a new iconic mixed-use multi-tower development, which stands as a landmark on Airport Road – an important arterial road leading from Bole International Airport to the central business district of Addis Ababa. The site has four distinct edge conditions. To the north is the busy and vibrant Airport Road. Smaller scale neighborhood roads flank each side and allow access to the site. The road to the south of the site starts to become a lot more suburban in feel. The building stands as a testament to innovative design, integrating several features that contribute to its iconic status within the vibrant fabric of Addis Ababa. One of the most striking elements is its hovering set of architectural volumes that appear to defy gravity. These volumes are meticulously inspired by the unique geological formations of Ethiopia, such as the towering mountains and deep valleys that characterize the landscape. This design not only pays homage to the natural beauty of the region but also creates a dynamic visual experience that draws the eye upward, encouraging exploration of the building's multiple levels.
